Rebranding

This site has hung around through a couple campaigns since 2019 and has sat mostly dormant in between. Fast forward to 2024 and we’re in a state of tumult. After a couple controversial votes on taxes and zoning/development, this city council enjoys a less than favorable reputation. Some of that is earned, some is not.

Throughout my time involved in city government both as an observer and as an active participant I’ve learned a great deal about how things work in our city. I’ve often said that runniong for office has been the greatest civics lesson of my life.

I’ve chosen to rebrand this platform as an outlet for me to share my musings on current events. I stay away from hot takes or off the cuff reactions. Instead I intend to offer the “why” and when possible the context of how we got where we are along with my observations on how we can do better as a people and as a city.

Transparency in life is crucial and I offer it in spades. All of my posts back to day 1 of my first campaign are here for all to see. Take your time to read back over the years – I’m quite proud of the positions I take for their consistency but also for a willingness to grow and evolve as new information becomes known and as I experience the ups & downs of life.
