Why Vote for Joe Combs, Part 4

Common Sense

I was very deliberate in my decision to run as an independent.  I could certainly have run with an (R) after my name.  I grew up with a conservative upbringing.  With years of adulting (my kids’ word for it) under my belt I’ve developed a healthy libertarian streak.  I believe government is at its best when it stands out of the way and lets people demonstrate the spirit that made America strong.

There’s something I value more than party: common sense.  As an independent I am free from the need to toe the party line.  I’m not in this to strengthen a party platform or protect a majority or any of the other things you hear when people start talking party politics.  I’m in this to make Harrison a better place to live, work and play.  I’ll bring common sense solutions to challenging problems.

Somebody way smarter than me once said that common sense is anything but common.  Let’s bring a little common sense to council this November!

This is part 4 of a 5 part series of posts making the case for why I deserve your vote this November.  You can find the full series here.
