Commitment
Our next councilmen or councilwomen need to be servant leaders, always willing to put what’s best for our city ahead of ego and personal glory. Running for council isn’t something to do because it might be fun to try it out or to see a little inside-baseball. Nor is it something a candidate should be after to push an agenda or to get a cool title and an elevated position among the people of our city.
My kids are getting older. In fact 2 of them have moved out and are beginning to make their mark on the world. I’ve got the time to do this job right.
You can tell a lot about how a candidate will perform in office by how they perform on the campaign trail. That’s why I’ve been so deliberate about sharing my thoughts with anyone who will listen online or in person. In my last blog I shared the work I’m doing to hit the ground running in January. I’m all-in on this.
This is part 3 of a 5 part series of posts making the case for why I deserve your vote this November. You can find the full series here.
