The Ability to Lead
I’ve been called to lead throughout my life. As a kid I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a process that includes organizing and leading a community service project. As an adult I’ve held leadership positions with a number of organizations:
- Chairman of the Dan Beard Eagle Scout Association, serving the 7000+ Eagles who live & work in Greater Cincinnati
- President of the Northern Kentucky University Alumni Association, guiding a network of alumni to give back to the university through time, talent and treasure
- Selection committee for Southwest Ohio Givecamp, a charity that provides much needed I.T. help for non-profits
- Coordinator for the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace program at St. John the Baptist church
- As a technology consultant I’m called upon to provide leadership for my client’s project teams every day of my 20+ year career, working within budgets and collaborating to solve challenging business problems.
As a councilman, this experience will be immensely valuable. A lifetime of servant-leadership will allow me to hit the ground running, working with the other 6 members of council and the mayor to move our city forward.
This is part 1 of a 5 part series of posts making the case for why I deserve your vote this November. You can find the full series here.
