I’m almost 10 posts in on this blog and I just realized I never gave a concise overview of what the blog is all about so here goes…
I’ve been running a personal blog for years with occasional posts if a notion strikes me. More recently that blog has become the repository for my Scoutmaster Minutes – short, [hopefully] entertaining stories that present some pearl of wisdom for my scouts at our weekly meetings.
Because blogging is familiar territory, I’ve decided to create this campaign blog as a sort of diary of my experience as a first time candidate. I have no set schedule for posting but I expect it’ll be every couple days or so once things heat up in the summer and down the home stretch to election day.
I’m taking advantage of tags and categories to make it easier to follow along and to find things that might interest you as a voter. My posts fall into one of four categories:
Events – For events I’m attending and general what’s going on when and where posts
About Joe – These posts provide an opportunity to get to know me. They’re usually not about a specific city issue or topic but are more about seeing how I’m wired and how that will help me serve you on council
Issues – These posts speak to specific topics, challenges and opportunities that affect our city and really the entire Greater Harrison area
Campaign Life – The process of even getting on the ballot has been as instructive as any civics lesson I had in school. These posts share a bit of the inside baseball on what its like to be a rookie cand.
Check back often or better yet follow me on Facebook or Twitter using the links near the top right of the page to be the first to get updates from me.
